OK, these have taken us & our wallets by storm.
Not that I'm complaining, I think they're great.
If you could have anything right now in a group buy with about 50% off, what would it be?
Do you think iit's worth doing group buys for synths and FX that are already relatively cheap? or should we just go for expensive stuff?
The 2 I'd like to see in a Group Buy right now are,
NI Komplete 2, (inc bat2 abs3, kont2) Komplete Care Bonus Option.
Gmedia's Oddity, Imposcar & Minimonsta!

My top 2 group buys would be
Reaktor and Tera 2
Couldnt afford either at the moment though.
I dont think its worth doing group buys on very cheap stuff, better to do bundle deals in that case if the company has multiple products.

Yeah Oddity & Imposcar are already so cheap, but If we did a GB for those three as a whole, a lot of people who already have Oddity would miss out on Minimonsta.
Anyway, I'm only talking hypothetically for now.
There have been lots of GBs on FX recently, I'd like to beef up my synth arsenal.

My fave GB was the PSP Nitro/VintageWarmer one. I couldn't have afforded those otherwise - now I use them all the time.
Next GB I'd be interested in would be the Garritan Personal Orchestra...although it is already quite reasonable...hm... m u s t r e s i s t.

NI won't be doing any GBs, and it wouldn't make sense for GMedia to release their most anticipated product ever at -50%.

I can't think of anything i'd want in a group buy right now. I'm currently in the Wusikstation GB and recently bought Kubik so i'm good for now.
Maybe some effects or stuff would come in handy. Although i'm quite happy with what i have now and if i need anything else i usually find it in freeware somewhere.
I just try to live with making music on a budget

Yeah, i've been looking at that Izotope GB and would love to have Trash and Ozone. My friend has both and i have been testing them out when i'm at his studio.
I just feel i don't need it that much for the price and i feel Trash uses more CPU then i'm comfortable with.
As i stand now, i can make the phat, distorted, noise thingiemabob sound i want out of the freeware i have.
If i actually did shit cash every other week, i'd surely get one, but i don't

Personally, I hope for blow outs or group buys of the high end Giga 2 sample libaries, the various Horizon libraries (Overdrive, Glass and Stones, etc.), and other libraries along those lines.

I know the product I'd love to buy will never be in a group buy. I'm referring to NI Kontakt.

The reason I'm asking, and don't get too excited here, cos it may not work.
If there's enough of us, we effectively buy 100 boxes of say komplete (i hope) at wholesale price. And then divide them up.
In theory this could work, which is why I was trying to see what kind of interest there would be and for which products.
