Thanks a lot, Platinumears. This is really useful. Perhaps not sonically as nice as the Sonalksis CQ1 but offers almost the same exact functionality. The manual is excellent as well!

Ooh, thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware of that one.. I thought the Powercore provided my only competition! It does seem quite similar.. though I can't quite work out the difference between their CQ1 and DQ1 plugs..brianbrian wrote: the Sonalksis CQ1
Their 64 bit internal precision probably contributes to the sound quality, and possibly they use a better EQ algo (though it can't be linear phase as they claim no latency.) And of course I can't offer a Mac version. (IQ4 was made with Synthedit in case anyone didn't realise.)
On the other hand, they don't mention mid-side processing in the feature list, and they can't compete with my pricing!
I couldn't see any mention of the method used for level detection: if they use peak sensing that will probably give it a different character from mine as well (which uses RMS averaging),
Dammit, looks like I'll have to d/l the demos.. I'm never going to get that nice streamlined plug in folder am I?

This is easily one of the best - if not THE BEST - synthedit effects creation EVER!
Everyone and his dog needs to try this plugin, simply for the way you get a visual on how the signal is being effected - I really love the meters on the threshold and gain. Top quality production.

Having worked with the new GUI now even more I feel impelled to say; drop the gradients. It will greatly enhance readibility I think.

I didn't know about this plug-in until this thread.
I have just been using this to tame some horrible frequency peaks on certain notes in a complex and busy track.
Nothing I had tried was working, but IQ4 has done it.
This thng is wonderful. I love the live level indicators that help to set the threshold. The visual feedback is very useful.
Thank you very much for this.

I really like this/your plugin. It has really helped me eq some guitars I had in a song which was at far left and right without changing to much of the overall soundscape.
If you ever make any updates you are more than welcome to haress me with an e-mail.
Best Regards

like I said last time, not sure I have the skill required to use this but I'll keep it for when I do! I think maybe the gui is a bit too flashy - a less 3d and shiny appearance would help when getting to grips with such subtle audio tweaking... just a suggestion. It's very generous of you to give is this prezzie anyway
