Hello!

This is my first try in the KVR music café.
Made a demo that was finished late 2004. If you want a listen, you can find it at www.mikaeladle.se in the "music" tab.
The demo is called "Under utredning" and direct translation from Swedish to English would be something like "Under investigation".

It was made using Logic 5.5.1 together with heavy usage of Kontakt and also various other VSTi´s, on my PIII 800 :)
The music is somewhat pop with various influences from other genres. Lyrics are in swedish :)
I´ve done the lot myself (write, rec, mix etc) and would very much appreciate any kind of feedback.

here are three quicklinks :)

Hi Mikael,

Really would like to listen, but can't for the life of me find the link on your music page.

Perhaps a direct link?

Post

Aha ... perhaps I was unclear.
On the "music" page, you have to click on the songtitles and it should work.

Oh! I was looking for a song called "Under utredning".

Be back shortly.

Have to admit, this wasn't what I was expecting. Has a breezy, 'La varieté' style vibe to it.

Förspel and Kom igen katten are both very catchy.

Pånyttfödelse is quite a nice tune, but I find there are too many lyrics/vocals. Would like this to have been a bit more instrumental.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Shamann! I liked the term "La varieté". :)
The first tune "Förspel" is sort of about a wind/whirlpool, so I guess the breeze is there :hihi:

If you like instrumental music then perhaps you´d like the last tune "Magma"?

I listened to make, and I like parts of it, it's a good arrangement, but I found the synth lead to be too bright in the scond half. Part of that is a problem with the speakers I'm listening to at my office, which tends to make everything a bit too bright.

Have you thought of trying that same part as slightly lower register lead, maybe a really good Rhodes e-piano sound?

Post

Ah, thanks for pointing that out.
I´ll try to listen to it on different systems and see what it will bring :)
