does anyone know how much the upgrade is for the "special" version that comes packaged with the M-Audio 410 firewire card?
I recently bought the 410 card and i was a little curious how much it would cost to upgrade this version to the current 4 version. i looked on the site but it seems you have to install the thing then go through the whole process before you know the price.
i just want to know the price before going through all that.
thanks

hey seamoss
we got the 410 here, ya get nothing upgrade wise for Abelton or Reason Adapted, quite disappointing to cause Rewire wasn't even included, I wanted to upgrade because of that.
pretty well full price man, so think of it as an 8track recorder.

okay, just got an email from Ableton on this.
The upgrade price to a full 4 version in 219 USD
is this worth it?
I have heard that CPU is crazy in Ableton. True?

we got Abelton 3.04, its friggin great once you get by the quirky interface,
never crashes, perfect for multi-tracking(I don't use it for loops, so no opinion there)I use it rewired with Orion for live tracks, best of all is the ability to monitor playin live with effects.
this version is very cpu friendly, quite good, I demo'd 4 and what a difference, huge cpu usage and all for the ability to use vsti's and midi, wasn't worth it for me, course my puter isn't a monster so...
