Other than their website, are there any new places to get fresh sound samples for the SampleTank demo? Thanks.

ha i think the idea was that if you liked those sounds, or the engine you would buy a version of it so that you can expand on that. if you're interested in buying i can give you more info on that.

Well....it's too early to tell if I'm gonna buy the full version. Just started loading some samples for the demo. I was hoping for some sounds other than the usual (yawn) pianos, guitars, drums, etc. Hoping for something like you'd hear from Atmosphere.

Thought maybe some users had created some new stuff that was avail for d/l.

if you are looking for something like Atmosphere but better in some ways(because you get way more variety in sounds), check out Sonik Synth 2 http://www.soniksynth.com/

people have made stuff for sampletank 2 but it would not be able to load into the demo.

You can buy a version for cheap called SampleTank 2 LE which comes with any Expansion Tank or Sonik Capsule title (so you get sounds and the LE version). Or you can pick up SampleTank 2 L or XL with the only difference being that L comes with 4 discs of sounds and XL comes with 8. Also, anyone who buys SampleTank 2 XL now gets a free upgrade to SampleTank 2.1 with 2 DVDs of sounds when it is out.

If you are just looking for free stuff then you can also check out www.soniksynth.com and download Sonik Synth 2 FREE.

To everyone enjoying the free stuff: I suggest that you download those sounds now because they will be going away and replaced with new ones. Free doesn't mean free forever. Just a head's up.

Hey....thanks. I heard that Sonic Synth demo offered even fewer sounds to load than Sample Tank, so I didn't bother. Is this accurate?

Sampletank 2.1 is around the corner, which has a reworked soundset, according to their press release. Also you can use Chickensys Translator to convert other formats to sampletank, and edit sampletank's included sounds.

And I think you can convert Akai format samples in sampletank.
