Free 35 minute mix of originally composed music by me - shortened version of my CD for my recent live set in SF

if you want to buy a cd, www.recordlabelrecords.org/webstore.html

Short mp3 clips of almost all the tracks and information:

Let me know what you think...suggestions always welcome. Lots of original sound design (some modified presets too), field recording, primarily using Reaktor, Cubase, MAX/MSP, and a shitload of plugins.

***** EDIT *****
Here are some single tracks from the mix if you are on dial up or if you prefer to hear it this way:

35 minutes? I'll give it a spin someday.

Listened to 4 of the mp3 excerpts and I'm very impressed.

Great stuff, man.

That trick you do with the sink water is very impressive too ;)

The full CD has 20 tracks and is a full 74 minutes.

In terms of the patches I used, a lot of what is on it was done over a year and a half ago in Reaktor 3. I used a lot of the transform (i think that's what the menu is called) modules which had things like Resynth, a timestretcher, granular module, etc. A lot of the reaktor patches were just pre-existing reaktor patches or macros creatively chained together. For the difference tone song I built my own custom module to control the tones as needed.

I also used some patches built by Fluorescent Gray, which are free downloads at: http://www.recordlabelrecords.org/reaktor.html

If you like my stuff, you may also like his. Honestly I used so many Reaktor patches I can't honestly remember the names of all of them. I would tweak them, or use randomizers on them. One great patch was a mock ARP-2600 someone made that to me is more useful than Arturia's recreation because I could randomize any parameter, or constrain the randomness to certain parameters.

some of the spectral sounds were done on the Kyma, which is the best at that I've seen.

I know I said Reaktor in the title, but here is the actual list of stuff i used from my website:
Hardware used on album:
1978 Emu Modular Synthesizer
Kawai K5000s Additive Synthesizer
Symbolic Sound's Kyma X (hardware/software combo)
Minimoog Voyager 50th Anniversary Edition

Yamaha SY77
AKAI MPC 2000
Digidesign MBOX
Eventide Harmonizer H3000S
Nord Lead 2X

Instruments:
Taylor 655 12 String Guitar
Martin D-45, 1958 D-21 Brazillian Rosewood
Bowed Psaltery
Berimbow
Thumb Piano
Yamaha Diskclavier
Harp
Flute

Microphones:
Neumann KMR82I Long Shotgun microphone
Neumann TLM103 Pair
Oktava MK012 Pair
AKG D112
Shure SM81 Pair
Shure SM57

Primary Software used (too many plugins to list):
