Been mentioned before but I cannot loate the thread in search.

Can someone advise which EQ plug will take a snapshot of a freq range, then let you apply it to another piece of music?

CurveEQ (in the list of effects at the top right) is possibly the plugin you are thinking of. :)

har-bal, one of the voxengo ones as well, auto audio mastering, ozone also.....I think these do buddy!!

Steinberg made an EQ with exactly that functionality, does someone remember that name? Its a bit older.

I've not tried CurveEQ myself - so I don't know your baseline for easy.

I think it is relatively easy with 'FreEq Boy' and I have included simple instructions. The demo is free to try and the most recent update contains many refinements and additional features.
