Me too! At least as many as my old PC can take.

To be of greater use to the original poster, effects chains are the way to go. Can turn any fiddly piddly effect into the left toe of a great sound-destroying beast. Try stringing several echoes, amp modulators, filters, ampsims and comb filters all together and see what gets unleashed.

yeah buffer overdrive rocks and so does scruby vst from smart electronix

Scrubby goes zipping around through time. Speeding up or slowing down playback, moving backwards or forwards, Scrubby does whatever it takes to reach its destinations on time. If necessary, you can discipline Scrubby by using pitch constraint control, and of course you have a choice between robot mode and DJ mode.

There are quite a few great manglers in the Pluggo collection from Cycling74.

OhmBoyz from OhmForce can mangle pretty well.

Filterscape from U-He can get pretty tweaky, as well.
