i watched my Disney DVD
i think the difference betwen th ebundled Sytrus and the online Sytrus is the online Sytrus is a vst version that can break fee of th ecinbfines of FLStudio an dbe used in other hosts.
If FLS is your main host and/or you use FLS itself as a vst inside other hosts or Rewired into other hosts and your happy with that, there's no need for the vst version.
If you don't own FLS or would much prefer to use Sytrus directly in another host, then you might want to buy the vst online version.
and incidentally gol was correct. I had forgotten. There are, I think 2 presets with rhino 2 that have drum loops that don't sync to the bpm of the host. I even complained about that lack of sync'ing at the time.

I dont understand why 2 presets not syncing to the host would be grounds for thinking one of the synths is better?

gol prefers his own synth, that's it...
o prefer sytrus as well, i like the sound more and the gui is 500% better, so be it.
if I say that, you would not complain, but if I was the developer of sytrus you would start flaming me, wouldn't you?
and if bigtick would write something like "i prefer rhino because sytrus sounds like a virus" you would start flaming bigtick, but if I was complaining about the fact that sytrus sounds like a 303 you would simply forget my post
i do not see ANY sense in the flaming going on here

Huh, these 2 presets don't sync because they use a sampled drum loop. It was a little trick by Daniel to make a killer sounding preset. If you want sync'ing loops just check the synthesized presets in the "electroloops" bank.
And, by the way, before blaming Rhino for using samples, please check the synth history: like Gol I'm a synthesis fan, so Rhino wasn't intended to use samples (and didn't in the first versions). It's only because of the insistence of users that this feature was added.

exactly and Gol knows this and his argument has been declared and proven nonsense before and nonetheless he tries to riducule Rhino with it. This has nothing to do with enthusiasm for his own product.Big Tick wrote:Huh, these 2 presets don't sync because they use a sampled drum loop. I couldn't care less about this illogical bullshit if some people who don't know that much about Rhino wouldn't be blinded by it.
Once again: Rhino and Sytrus are in no way related even if their architecture is somewhat similar.
Both have a very unique sound.
and just for the record:
of course the loop Gol mentioned can be brought to sync easily - you only have to transpose/detune the oscillator which is using it. However it's highly plausible that a computer-geek and game-programmer like Gol fails to see these possible practical applications of such musical terms/variables.

and those two drum loops are easily turned off as well
so one can add ones' own
it's a keyboard split example
i think i'm walking away from this now
back to the Disney DVD

Just installed it at home, from work, so I cannot hear it :-/. Took a look around though.....Chocolate, lime and vanilla filters.....hahahah. An Albino dig?
Full size oscillator editor too! Thanks for listening to us, Gol
Morph osciallators 1 to 5 option? Sweet!

Sytrus 1.5 is excellent!
The large additive editor window is roughly 6 times wider and 2.5 times taller. Very easy to work with now.
The new onboard reverb is very high quality. It's actually better than that included in most hosts.
Pair these improvements with the prexisting meaty oscillators, multipoint envelopes, XY control, tempo-synced everything, plucked string generator, flexible unison, extensive filter options... Wow!
Great additions to a great synth.
