I'm looking for a good [and reasonably priced] RTAS reverb and would really appreciate some feedback, or recommendations from those of you in the know.

I highly recommend TL-Space from Trillium Lane Labs:

It's a convolution reverb but it has some really cool traditional-verb type controls. It also sounds *spectacular*. Anyway I like it.

why limit yourself....
if you get VST to RTAS you can use any VST reverb as a RTAS.
And what is your reverb preferences... environment, fx or room simulations ?
dburgan (spiritcanyonaudio.com) got some nice ambient and psycadelic reverb impulses that goes well with any convolution such as SIR, Prestine Space and others
otherwise there some more realistic room simulations (non convolution), Princeton Stereo Room and Anwida Spazio.
And dont forget the almost free Ambience

I have so far chosen not to use a VST wrapper due to the bad experiences my brother has had. ie propbably in the region of 75% of his plugins work the other 25% simply don't. So I'm not keen on shelling out the money only to find that the plugin either doesn't work or that it takes ages to get it running properly.
Having said that I do like the look of something like "Pristine space" and If I could be sure that it would run properly I might be persuaded to go that route.
I'm also keen to keep my setup as simple as possible....I'm not a collector of plugins.
I currently run [in addition to the host protools programs] BFD, Atmoshpere and waves musician 2 bundle. All I'm really looking for now is a reverb that sound better to me than D-verb. As to what my reverb requirements are I'm not quite sure....I suppose that I want something that sounds more natural than what I currently get - so "environment rather than effect".

Waves Trueverb and Waves Renaissance Reverberator are both exquisite. Trueverb has a very clean sound, while Reverberator is more analog-like. They are $200 each. If this is too expensive, you could wait for the release of Easyverb RTAS by PSP audioware (or use VST-to-RTAS on the VST version; seems to work well for this plugin, according to the PSP user forum).
