well I had to ask, I'm afraid the answer is no, but well, anyone knows if there are any available and free samples from the Clavia Nord Lead synth and the Virus?

Sorry, don't know about free stuff (and I am too lazy to sample our Nordlead and Micro Modular, bah
), but Wizoo is selling their "Powered Nord" sampling CD pretty darn cheap these days:
Wizoo "Powered Nord" - 20 bucks ain't that much, and it 's a pretty decent sample CD, as far as I recall.
Cheers,
Arne S.

http://www.analoguesamples.com/ has some virus and nord lead samples.
There are also some virus and nord samples mapped to sf2, kontakt etc which I found months ago. There is a thread on how to get them here:

There has been a site with really nice multimapped samples of a Virus and a Nord Lead, it's been at www.zoolabmusic.com - but that site no longer exists.
I still have them, mapped for both the EXS and Kontakt allready, but I wouldn't happen to know whether I may redistribute them.

oh what a pity not to know it. I'd love them, but anyway if it can't be, it can't be.

You can alway's get the free software Nord at Clavia's site and run it monophonically(that's the restriction) with a midi loopback driver, and if playing it monophonically is a hindrance you can always sample it yourself.

Yup.It's been out for about a month now,but it's called a demo and it's limitation is that it's monophonic and standalone(no VSTi here),but it works, sounds real and it's free.A bit of a cpu hog though. Here's a link http://www.clavia.se/G2/demo/index.htmTotolitoto wrote:Alan, what are you talking about? I guess it depends on the patch, some bass sounds are killer with low end that I can't achive with any other VSTi.Iv'e also tried some of the 3rd party patches for the hardware on the site, but only some worked and others required missing modules that were lacking on the G2 demo.Beware though, even though some 3rd party patches will work, some floored my AMD XP 2400 right into the red worse than a P4 denormal.tee boy wrote:So does this G2 thingy actually sound any good?
