1) "woo...yeah...woo..yeah" (used in every other dance beat 15 years ago) you know what I'm talking about (?)

2) cuica (those tube thingies you wiggle a piece of cloth through

)

3) a snare drum with no snares ( think Sonic Youth's Schizophrenia)

I've been into sampling and computer music for 3.5 years now and have yet to find any of these!

To clarify a little more...

That 'wow, yeah' classic dance sample is from the track 'Think (About It)' by Lyn Collins. It was released in 1972 and was produced by James Brown. You'll be able to find it pretty easily either online or on many funk and breaks compilations. There's about four great breaks in this track that are favourites for breakbeat tunes. A definite favourite of Squarepusher.

For the other samples, keep hunting...

shame on you. if he did that then it wouldn't be his own work and all artistic integrity would be lost (see 'loop snobbery' thread for further info)...

The Peter Erskine drum (gigasamples I think?) has many samples of a snare drum when the snare is off. Might want to check into that.

Three samples I haven't come across yet!
