Hey Gerry,

I started this thread mate, and you stand your ground mate. Your tracks might not be to everyones taste (they do have that 98/99 feel) but who cares. They seem well-produced, and frankly shit all over most stuff made in buzz.

Keep up the good work mate, some of this stuff is easily on par with the big trance tracks of the 98/99 era :)

Well i liked it anyway :)

hmm cool buzz gets it due and its donts in this thread

so yea 7 years later, 'abandoned' buzz.exe ... which is also bullshit, cause it IS still being expanded/developed just not at its core, with peripheral machines/utilities ...

so yea it rules in the right hands and gerry/hamster are not the only ones...

I don't know how this whole 1998/99 thing started. In a way that's a big compliment because that's where the greatest genre-defining tunes were made, but not all of my tracks contain that sound.

If you've only heard tracks like "Beautiful People" or "Definition" then yeah, you'd come to the conclusion that I just sound 98/99, but tracks like "Bad Color" obviously sound 2000+... "Salty Rain" remix and a lot of the other remixes may have a canned 1998 structure, but the make-up of the track (rhythms, basslines, ect) are different than tracks from that time... more like 2002+ Other tracks like "Space Town" can't be classified into a time period since they're experimental. Other tracks like "Miracle of Summer" don't really remind me of anything 1999 (only the strings breakdown)... but it sounds more like 2003-2004 uplifting trance.

As for being unsigned, I haven't made much of an effort to send demos out. Furthermore, my pleasure of uploading full tracks for free discourages a lot of smaller labels from signing me up, but I'm cutting back on tracks I upload. I currently have approval by Vandit and I'm waiting for Paul's judgement before I get the contract, but getting tracks to PvD was purely accidental. I sent him 0 demos.
