I'm looking for a drum loop library with rock drums. The sound that I'm aiming for is Nirvana/Audioslave/Rage Against The Machine type of drums.

Any suggestions and/or tips are appreciated.

I always thought DFH2 cost more the $130, at that price i might just treat myself with one.

[Edit]HOLY SHIT, that demo is heavy as hell and the sound is friggin awesome, i want it NOW. :-o  :o

Make sure are aware of the distinction between drumkit from hell 2 and drumkit from hell superior. I picked up the former for $99.99 not too long ago.

I have the original DFH & its pretty good but I couldn't say that I got that tight 'Nirvana' sound from it. (which is what I was after too)
That's just my opinion though - so maybe with a bit of time spent with editing you might get closer than I did/do...? :)

You guys did see he was looking for a Loop Library?

But on the other hand... :-)
Manytone :-) Offers some good Rock style drums ...though a little more suited to Nirvana Unplugged style rather than Metallica Hard style. They are MultiSampled and 24 bit and are only $35.00, and come with our 24 bit - 12 Big Kits - Electronic Drum Pack, as a Free Bonus at the moment.
All the Guys with Linplug RM3 or RM4 can speak for the Quality.

Also keep your eyes out for the Next Project, (which will be after our soon to be released ManyStation) .... It is what you are After ... A Drum Loop Library and VSTi Player. But.... ManyStation First :-)

Just a Heads Up :-)

www.drumsondemand.com has some drum-part construction kits in rock styles

or if you have drum samples plus software to play them, www.groovemonkee.com has midi clips to construct drum parts, which gives more flexibility in that you can change the elements of the drumkit

also, both midi and audio drum clips have been helpful to me in learning how to "think in drums" isolated from other instruments

Thanks for the tips!

Rock loop CD's aren't all that common it appears. (For quite obvious reasons.)

Hi there,
you can find quite some Rock drum loops in the
Sony/Acid webshop.
Some of them more than useable.

Hope that helps ;)

You guys may know about this but anyway I was looking at the Broomstick Bass on the swedish? designers site - sorry I'm at work I don't have the address. Anyway, I went to the store there to see the price but had to register to do so. They gave me a free 10 Euro voucher for any samples on their site and there's quite a few you can get for under 10 Euros.

May help.
