Honestly if i had the money i'd buy it... In the mean time i'd like to contribute presets ect, Next week I'll be posting a package called ebm obsessions sence i don't see anyone else making ebm presets for free. Really there are only a few vst's that are worth while (Z3ta, Vanguard, Imposcar, Fm7, Algomusic, and a few others)and of course Rhino is at the top with z3ta. The only problem with the external wav text file thing that provides these waveforms is it might be to big in size.. I mean dose the vsf packer save just the waveshape or whatever without the wav file? I'm really amature here so i don't understand what is used in making those waveforms or how it is done. If i could get some feedback on that it would be great , thanksBig Tick wrote:The vfs packer is available to anyone with a site code.

Tick,
Can you post a tutorial on your site about all this, perhaps going into a bit more detail on usage. You could suggest FLAC in the tutorial as well, just so the option is not lost and forgotten.
Ive got a 2/3 finished bank that uses .txt/.wav clips in a few patches. I was wondering what to do about these "floaters" and had decided to simply delete the patches from the bank. But the [FLAC/.vfs] packaging thingy might save the day here, given a detailed usage recipe.
How about it?

A tutorial you say... why not, but it's really straightforward:
- create your own presets, include external .wav files if you so wish
- package the .wav files using the .vfs packer. The tool is straightforward, just create a new vfs and drop all your .txt files onto it.
- release your stuff as fxb file + vfs file.

PS. Rhino won't decode flac-encoded files. But you can use FLAC to compress your wav files, as long as users manually unpack them before using them in Rhino.
