i dream music and i always hear music in my head, not literally but there is always a flowing bunch of notes at all times going on. When I do anything i always breathe out notes kind of like whistling but not really.

You're not messed up, I have bass lines flowing through my head constantly. Guys may think about sex every six seconds, but for me, those other five seconds my damn internal sequencer is always running.rpc9943 wrote:i dream music and i always hear music in my head, not literally but there is always a flowing bunch of notes at all times going on. I dream in music all the time. Always have. Either existing music by other artists or my own soundtracks. Last night, I was tortured by Willie Nelson singing "If you Got the Money, Honey (I Got the Time)." It played over and over and overon the interior jukebox...all night long. Great song...but sheeesh.

I will wake up with a new tune in my head sometimes..
Just getting it all the way down to my fingers is the f**kin hard part!

My dreams always have some kind of music soundtrack playing in the background...and on the occasion when a dream's plot comes to something resembling a full conclusion, I'll even get "closing credit" music just as I'm waking up.

How did I miss 4 pages of this thread in 1 day?
I usually have the most f**ked up dreams EVER, and even when I don't remember them, I wake up imagining the craziest sounds ever. I'm often frustrated because there's usually no way to recreate these sounds when I want to. I have a bunch of awesome sounds that I can only imagine.
I only dream of actual melodies when I sleep to music.

I often have dreams where a tune pops into my head, and it's the most profound life-altering music anyone ever heard. I try to memorise it so i can write it down when I get the chance. When I wake up, I can't remember it at all and I'm never sure if there actually was a tune or just the intangible idea of such an amazing tune..... if that makes sense

Just about every song I write makes it into my dreams, usually because I had just spent a long time working on it and it's going through my brain when I fall asleep. Kinda like if you really get into a good book before sleep sometimes it (at least to me) seems to define the "mood" or the "feel" of a dream or maybe more accurately the perceptional theme of a dream. It's actually one of the factors on which songs I continue to work on and which fade away. If I wake up in the middle of he night and my first conscience thought is that tune going through head more often then not I find I was dreaming about it, which gives the song signifacance to me.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

One time I had a dream that I was making a dance tune on this hardware groove box thingy. It was blue and it kind of looked like an RM1x. I woke up and was able to reproduce it. It was quite a simple track.

One time I had a dream that I was running through a field of daisies, hand-in-hand with Brandon Trinity. I woke up, blew the dust off my Casio, and wrote the worst tarnce song ever made. Thank god I was all better the next day...

Last night I had a dream I was at a Chick Corea concert, eccept he was playing tenor sax
And he was on a balcony, with a full big band on the floor under him.
