HarmoniEQ is a digital equalizer in PC VST format specifically designed to bring excellent and unconventional equalizing performance requiring little to none effort from the user. We have called HarmoniEQ a harmonically-enhanced equalizer because harmonical enhancement it applies to the sound is an inherent element of its overall sonic quality. Its special Boost mode coupled with a high-shelving boost produces a really stunning harmonically-rich and shiny sound.

Since the easiness of tuning was one of our goals HarmoniEQ features a single control surface to control equalizer curve. No knobs to have hassle with! HarmoniEQ's control surface workflow implements our best findings in the area of "user-equalizer" interaction. This allowed us to offer the user 3 shelving and 4 bell-shaped filters without making HarmoniEQ a hard-to-finetune device. At the same time having 7 equalizer bands in total gives the user a lot of control over spectral details of the program material being processed.

As an added bonus HarmoniEQ features a special Woofer sound mode which allows you to make instant silky-smooth bass adjustments. Another very useful element of HarmoniEQ is its control surface's frequency range which goes up to 35 kHz. This allows you to make air boosts which are among the best in the industry. It should be also noted that HarmoniEQ works best for frequency band boosts. At the same time frequency band cuts tend to sound almost invisible which is a very important feature for an equalizer.

Voxengo HarmoniEQ features:

* 4 bell-shaped filter bands
* Low-shelf filter band
* 2 high-shelf filter bands
* Special Boost mode
* Special Woofer mode
* "A-to-B" comparisons
* Factory presets
* Mono-to-Stereo, Stereo-to-Stereo processing
* Any sample rate is supported
* Internal 64-bit processing
* Native assembler DSP code

HarmoniEQ is currently available for the introductory price of US$69.95 which will expire on 14-mar-2005. For more information and downloads you can visit the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com

Happy Valentine's Day !
Maybe my wife will get this one for me... :love:

Sounds nice, though so many eqs, so many compressors, i'll wait 1 month or 2 to see if a new voxengo eq and compressor pops up and i'll decide from there...

Welcome to this newborn...how's the CPU use? :D

Very nice EQ. I just had to buy it. Very good for adding warmth to full mixes. I think it's the best Voxengo EQ to date and better than a lot of the competition - including the DSP card EQ's.

If you need a top notch EQ that will also add sheen and an analog feel to recordings then this is essential IMO. IT's a very good bargain in comparison to the prices of other EQ's in the same league.

If I was considering buying a faster cpu to run native plugins or a DSP card now I would go for a faster cpu. DSP cards still have some excellent plugins (esp. reverbs/synths) but Voxengo have released quality plugins that compete with DSP card offerings. This EQ just closed the gap IMO.

Cpu usage is quite high (15-20% on AMD 2400XP) but I think this EQ is best used on a full mix and for mastering purposes. But if you've got a very powerful PC it will be useful for track inserts as well. I bet this will love vocals, guitars...almost everything.

... must ... resist .... GNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn... aaaaarrrrggghh! *hand reaches for wallet* nooooooo... *whips out the credit card* ....you baastard!

Resistance is futile. That should be the new voxengo slogan. :D

Just bought my copy!

Cheers Aleksey!

What a day for releases!

I fail to get excited of plugins nowadays because of the sheers number of releases and the average quality of them.

Then we get Compadre beatpuncher and HarmoniEQ on the same day!

This is quite possibly the best digital EQ to date, hardware DSP or not. It's a few degrees up in (ultra)smoothness and sparkle. I can't think of any material that this EQ couldn't somehow make better.

Ok, the CPU hit is slightly above average as well, but you get a 'tuned to perfection' type of feel with this.

Also, beware of getting hyped up by the up and coming hydratone. HarmoniEQ is something new, it doesn't try to emulate anything, and it cannot be replicated in analog side. This sound is something genuinely new and good.

Blah blah.. hydratone is fine but it doesn't hinder me from buying HarmoniEQ (shit, I forgot, I already did!). Actually, they COMPLEMENT each other. HarmoniEQ is much warmer than hydratone. It has completely different character. Which is kind of ironic as hydratone is based on analogue convolution samples.

Like Kingston said, I've yet to come across material that doesn't somehow benefit from HarmoniEQ! We live in the renaissance of plugin development and Aleksey is a true artist!

Cheers!

Yes! That's why I'm trying to support Aleksey and folks like him whenever I can - as opposed to the outboard DSP or the PC DSP card crowd...

Haha, yes Aleksey needs to take a more forceful approach to marketing. How about "Hey asshole, just buy them: Voxengo"? :D

Oh yea, congatulations on the release Aleksey. This EQ is your best to date.

Funny, I almost wrote something along these lines but thought I'd come across as too much of a fanboy. It had to be said I suppose. 'The era of DSP artistry is here.'

Bmanic, are you my long lost twin or something? :lol:

HI

Yes-indeed; Voxengo celebrate a post-Industrial return to the neo-classic imperative, capital old boy.

Flipper.
