I made a couple of drum maps in Sonar for the "I-Map Donlite" kit. They should also work for other I-Map kits although there might be some extra hits that need to be mapped.

"I-Map Kit.map" just has the names and midi assignments as used by the I-Map standard ie. it's a pass-thru map with the names for each hit filled in.
"I-Map GM Kit.map" is an attempt to map GM drum hits to I-Map hits. In most cases I used the "dynamic" I-Map hits as the basic hit eg. GM bass drum is mapped to I-Map dynamic kick. I've mapped as much of the GM kit as I can. Playing GM midi files through this map seems to give pretty good results, although there don't appear to be the equivalent of floor toms in the Donlite kit I have. Non-GM hits like snare rolls are left out.
Hope this is useful!

No! good idea though...
Feel free to modify them if you can come up with any improvements. I'm not very familiar with the i-map layout.
Cheers,
Philip

Lovely.
I will get these tomorrow and see what they look like.
I really need a good map from vdrums to i-map to really get an idea of what these can be programmed to sound like...anyone know of a good way to handle this?
