Thats right, 19 more live drum loops from your humble servant herodotus....Various mixes were used, and any feedback is appreciated. Links to any tunes using them would also be welcome.:)

Most of them have a Drum n Bass sort of feel to them, with a couple of fills and rolls thrown in.

Make some noise!!! Have Fun!!!

1-15 sound great,16-19 sound different somehow, like effects or a different recording setup. Anyways, good solid energetic playing regardless :)

Jeff

P.S. Are these license free loops for us to use in productions ?

Thanks for the input. The mix on 16-19 IS different, an experiment that will probably be abandoned. :?

And yes, they are royalty free... Do whatever you like with' em :)

Hi herodotus! Thanks for all the drum loops lately - I was meaning to check them out and I just did. Nice skillful playing and some useful rhythms.

Just for my taste though, these drums have quite a bit more room ambience than I personally like. Any chance of dry/drier samples in the future?

Well if this isn't an invitation to blather I don't know what is. :)

What is going on here is a learning process. Recording drums is a bitch, plain and simple. I have been experimenting with different approaches and am approaching bewilderment here. I have done numerous professional recording sessions, and have recently read lots of conventional wisdom, (enough to be totally confused) and have found some of it to be lacking from my standpoint. Engineers traditionally hate noise and try to muffle everything. I HATE how this sounds, and anyway I can't play muffled drums, the muffling devices (and I have tried all of them), screw with the head action too much.

And so I am trying to find my own way here. Feedback like yours is essential to this process. :D

And yes, dry samples are on the way. Keep a lookout!

----Save all your loops and make a loop cd when you're done,or if you are very prolific, make a loop cd of more new material when you finally find the recording technique you are happy with. :)

So I have some commercial potential???? :)

I have made very little money on music thus far (and I am older than I'll admit). It sure would be nice to be able to buy some more microphones and an outboard e.q. :hihi:

Thanks for the compliments.

If you want to buy me a Manley Variable MU and a couple of Neumann U67s,(and maybe some Mogami cords to go with them) I think I can help you out there. :hihi:

P.S. An old Fairchild limiter would also work in a pinch.
