Virus?
I'm sure if you did, you would spread the word, but I was curious if anyone has gotten a virus or some sort of bug/bot after downloading a free softsynth or effect out there in the digital wasteland.....?

nope - the Virus is hardware - as such it's not downloadable and it is far from being free

Freebies are virus-free ususally, unless you're talking about cracked versions of synths. Warez bring virii, as is deserved.

Virii can be acceptable as it now has entered the vernacular, whether correct or not, though it's heavy on the computer geek jargon. Its use is most acceptable in the current situation, ie computer viruses over biological viruses.
