in which case, we agree and shouldn't waste our efforts in contention. think the 2nd post i wrote on you was 2nd 1/2 directed at seph, which oc was not discrete.

just do me a favour.. yeah, the profusion of zs et al. can be annoying as an implementation of commercialist "persuasion" or whatever, but it can also be someone's valid expression. your "it's annoying" statement didn't distinguish, but would have been anal to do so.

favor is if i call my beat a jingle, i'll count on you to not consider it some evidence of cerebral deficit.
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

real people have real opinions about what is right and therefore acceptable and therefore exclusory to the remainder, being "unacceptable."
that is illogical - something being acceptable does not mean that other things are unnacceptable - in fact it has nothing whatso ever do with another things acceptablility

this isn't a binary universe - although there are far too many binary political systems - which I think is worse than a good old honest dictatorship -

it saves on dishonesty about actually having a choice

EDIT OOPS FOUND A BETTER VOLTAIRE QUOTE

Those who can make you believe absurdities
can make you commit atrocities

i suspect the content in it's original form would have been interpreted as sarcasm by any human instance.

i love how people try and insist that i must make some fault in judgement. can't you handle me?

I just think defending slang of this sort is pointless. It's not really slang, it's slang purely for slang's sake and serves very little practical function...

Excerpt From: From Slang - Wikipedia
Functions and origins of slang

The use of slang is simply a way of circumventing social taboos. The mainstream language tends to shy away from explicitly evoking certain realities. Slang, and also the informal forms of language, permit one to talk about these realities in a special language stripped of the usual connotations in the normal register. Slang vocabularies are particularly rich in certain domains, such as sexuality, violence, crime and drugs.

There is not just one slang, but many varieties – or dialects – of slang. Different social groups in different times have developed their own slang. The importance of encryption and identity vary among the various slangs.

Slang must constantly renew its process of expression, and specifically its vocabulary, so that those not part of the group will remain unable to understand the slang. The existence of slang dictionaries, of course, cancels the effectiveness of certain words. Numerous slang terms pass into informal mainstream speech, and thence sometimes into mainstream formal speech.

Originally, certain slang designated the speech of people involved in the criminal underworld, hooligans, bandits, criminals, etc. Therefore, their vocabulary carried very vulgar connotations, and was strictly rejected by speakers of "proper" language. Other groups developed their own slangs, in general, groups on the margins of mainstream society who were excluded or rejected by it.

I love how every little off-handed comment topic on KVR can turn into a world crisis debate. Everyone busts out their big words and gets so self-agrandized by the end that nobody ever saw the other guy's point. Passionate people on this board, I tell ya...

I love how some people will climb atop their high horse and deem it appropriate to answer intolerance with intolerance. and fail to see the fallacy of their argument.
