SonikSynth 2 MIDI - How to send program changes?

I am going to play this live, and am quite happy with the sounds, sound quality, etc. Really a vast improvement over the workstation synths - and all I carry is my master keyboard and a rack bag with my MOTU 896! Very nice.
I want to be able to send program changes to the program in between songs so I don't have to mouse around and load stuff. How do I do that, it is not in the documentation, and just sending program changes doesn't seem to work.
I even tried modifying the ss2pref.txt file on the hope that the "BrowseUp" set of MIDI mappings was supposed to let you move around and load sounds. I'll be happy to build my own bank and then move around in it.
For tomorrow, I will just build a combi and switch my global channel, but it would be nice to address more than 16 sounds.
Thanks,
Nathanael
PS - Using SS2 as an AU plugin for Logic 6....

I recommend crossgrading to SampleTank 2 (you can even crossgrade to SampleTank 2 L now for just $199) and then you can set up sounds to respond to program change from that interface. Sonik Synth 2's sounds are all in SampleTank 2 format so they can be read by SampleTank 2 AND by its own interface. But, Sonik Synth 2 as it is does not respond to program change. Maybe it will in the future. But, for now the only way to do it is what I am suggesting. It's worth getting for a lot of other reasons though too.

OK, I can do that. Thank you for the quick response. I played SS2 live today for a worship service, and had a great time. It sounds excellent, and I had no problems.
Do please have IK Multimedia change their advertisement then. It is all over their website, documentation, etc. that SS2 supports program changes.
For me, it's hardly the end of the world, but I was hoping to have that functionality. I will buy ST2XL on the crossgrade, I suppose, though I don't really need another sampler/sampler format. Am I buying most of the same sounds again? Or is ST2XL a whole different 4.5 GB of sound?
Thanks again,
Nathanael

Nevermind: found my own answer on IK's FAQ:
----------------
Sonik Synth 2 is a synthesizer workstation plug-in designed to be used like a hardware workstation keyboard or sound module, but with a wave rom that is over 100 times the size, while SampleTank 2 XL is open to import additional sample material from any SampleTank library as well as WAV, AIFF, SDII samples, AKAI? S1000-3000, SampleCell? instruments, and more.
Sonik Synth 2 is a closed sound module meant for its sounds to be single and combi patches based on its massive included 8 gigabyte soundset. The included soundset of Sonik Synth 2 and SampleTank 2 XL are completely different and while both offer diverse compositional power right of the box, the two products are designed to compliment each other for building the ultimate SampleTank sound system.
Owners of SampleTank 2 L and XL can read Sonik Synth 2 sounds and combine them with the sounds of their other SampleTank 2 sound libraries and any other imported samples. Sonik Synth 2 owners do not need to own a separate SampleTank product to use it as a plug-in, but can take advantage of the additional features like sample import as well as additional sounds if they were to cross-grade to SampleTank 2 XL.

The crossgrade to ST2 is definately worth it. The sounds are not the same sounds as SS2. Don't forget if you get it now, you get the new upgraded sounds for free when they come out.
