I dunno - come toghter and here comes the sun are pretty good pop songs. Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da is annoyingly catchy enough, even if it sounds like a 3 year old is playing the piano...

I wasn't really meaning that all post '67 was poor, I actually prefer all of their later stuff but I find it much less poppy (which is why I prefer it).
