I was wondering how this eq performs? anybody got experience with it?

Its odd that vintageWarmer from same dev gets so much talk and reviews, but there's so little about MasterQ.

tbh - MasterQ is way more usefull than VintageWarmer.... it incorporates the singleband limiter of VW and has loads of other features.....

and you can use it as a TrackEQ,too if you have enough horse power

yeah that is one of the reasons i thought it might be a good deal. But I am very interested in finding out how it sounds as an eq. I am mainly thinking on buying it for mastering purposes. How does it sound compared to the Voxengo HarmonyEQ, CurceEQ, Sonalksis, T-Racks24 EQ (i know there's more in t-racks...just talking about the eq) and Kjaerhus Golden EQ?

I don't own it, but I've demod and it's very good.

SoS liked it too:

MasterQ is certainly a damn fine EQ with the "FAT" processing on, and will hold it's own with the Sonalksis and Kjaerhus EQs, but with it's own character. MasterQ just kind of has a sound, and I find it quite pleasant, but be warned, it is a variable latency plug-in which means even if your host has PDC, it still probably won't properly compensate for MasterQ. Also MasterQ doesn't allow you to change the gain of the EQ bands or their Q from the EQ graph. This isn't a huge deal, but it's just something I'm so used to in plug-in EQ's that it actually seems strange not to have it. Once PSP updates MasterQ so that it's at least at one constant latency I'll use it a lot more, but since having purchased it, I've hardly used it because of the latency.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

my big issue with masterq is the GUI as well. in addition to not being able to edit within the grappic mode i found the knobs also to be somewhat difficult to do fine manipulations with - compared to other eqs that i use more. tho the sound is top level. it would be gr8 if PSP fixed these aspects; the eq would be very competitive then IMHO.

The next version of the MasterQ will use a static latency compensation and will also have graph handles to operate it.

In my opinion the VintageWarmer's limiter on the output is just a bonus not the main feature it this plug-in 8)

I am not sure what is the problem with setting it up with knobs. They are quite precise with Shift key depressed and you can always use edit boxes for exact values.

Hey, Mateusz that's great news, as I really think MasterQ sounds great, and would love to use it more as a track/mixing EQ. Looking forward to the next update... :D
