because the last few were so f*cking dreary I could scream :!: :x

:P
At least it was entertaining for a large part and we had many fights for the price of one. Most fizzled out as people fell asleep exhausted and made way for someone else to take the ring.

The ring has been beaten and retuned and eventually casted into the fire of mount doom.

let's summarize:

"beats" is fine shorthand for music where rhythm is the main course

slang, figures of speech and other methods of indirect reference are part of linguistic culture

sometimes language is used decoratively as well as denotatively -- although that latter is sometimes a flimsy house of cards

p.s. -- if I ever learn any, people here might be subjected to my fresh chords
Or maybe Bones was right about what he said concerning some synths:

The chords are so old-fashioned & played out back in the 80's. 8)

Yes, all good fun .....I especially liked the bit about xoxos being from the future.

while were on linguistics

there is this program in the UK called

extreme celebrity detox

So we have adjective noun verb - now my take on that is that the adjective is describing the noun due to it being beforehand

so its extreme celebrity detox

so is it evil kenevil, lance armstrong and tony hawk drinking fruit juice

no becuase thay actually mean

celebrity extreme detox - ie lots of b listers get forced to drink their own pee - could't happen to nicer people really

So am i talking shi'ite or have the got the title of this rubbish plain wrong

Post

The title's right, probably, but detox is now commonly used as a noun, as in "she had detox done".

"Celebrity" is adjectival in that sense - it's not a common or garden detox, but a celebrity one.

Then the "extreme" refers to the collective "celebrity" and "detox"

Either way, it's extremely detestable and I wouldn't lose sleep over it :D
