Paninow is the best service ever, and i'm sure they are competitive.
that's actually not a bad service plan there. something I'd seriously consider.

Thanks for the URLs...

Those offers are probably good, but I had to try dedicated hosting one time... I wanted to host impulse responses at a larger quantities after all... And you can't have that much traffic for $10/mo (even at GoDaddy.com you have to pay $29/mo per 500 GB).

And voxengo.com already needs about 100 GB/mo to allow for several months of possible traffic growth, even without hosting any additional impulses.

On the other hand, that was a useful forceful situation. Hope everyone benefits from it in the end of the move.

BTW, I've not seen any GoDaddy advert.

'godaddy' sounds like 'go to your daddy' to me - that can be applicable to anything from comedy to gangster film.

Have a look at Crystaltech at http://www.crystaltech.com/ - I've been hosting with them for two and a half years now. They have various plans. I pay $37 for 100 gigs per month, 600 MB disk space, 250 MB SQL server, 250 MB MySQL, php, ColdFusion (or you can choose asp, whatever you like).

They have excellent support and very, very little downtime. Also, their bandwidth redundancy is excellent.

Worth a look.

And of course the auditorium for those browsing this thread that don’t want to build a site but would like somewhere free to post music – without tons of adds, restrictions on their content (ie sample rate conversion on upload) free, no need to register to make comments, to upload, or even to download.

GoDaddy is located five minutes drive from my house.
They are a very strait forward company with very low prices. Other then that I do not know much about them.

As a site owner I can recommend ValueWeb.com not the cheapest but very reliable (located in Florida)

We have several dedicated servers here in Arizona in a very good location but it is expensive.
I got the impression you are looking for budget solution but if I am wrong let me know I will have our IT guy contact you. (PM me)

Spe3d - not saying anything about the level of service you offer (I don't know) but this clause is scary:
As with all of the packages both parties can cancel at any time, the cost of the package is non refundable.
So, you can cancel at any time and the customer gets no money back?

Its there to stress a point that those in the hosting game know only too well that spammers etc, casue problems - when they read that they generally move on to somewhere else. also anyone trying to push the servers into over drive with massive mail lists or icq type programs will also be for the chop - if you are on a monthly plan you can cancel at any time too.

The only accounts I have had to delete were the freeshot ones - the ones that were free and abused by guys not having sites and instead having masses of mp3's getting remote linked to massive forums.

Thats what that clasue is for. and too right they wont get thier money back - especially the free accounts

Then why is it listed on the Supreme account which is definitely not free? :?: Maybe an oversight?

100 Gb traffic! man maybe it cheaper buy dedicated server? Or set one at home?)

Those GoDaddy blocking at the user end forces me to think twice... Hope these are not network blocks - only domain blocking.

kovacs, hosting companies with > 50k domains make me think about their service quality. I was working with Powweb which is as big as CrystalTech, and there were a lot of problems - MySql downtimes, too long page (php+mysql) generation times - a busy script could generate for 5 and more seconds, problems with incoming mail (only web-based form works seamlessly), slow downloads. That's probably what you get for a cheap shared server hosting.

If we pretend that GoDaddy has a good actual uptime and good Internet reachability/ping time, I cannot seem to find a better cost in any of the offered hosting solutions here. And if I ever decide to spend a grand for the whole year of hosting in advance, I may get an even lower price.
