Orange Vocoder & Live midi input

Hi.
I notice that the GUI keyboard in Orange vocoder can be played live by a midi keyboard.

How is this accomplished? What sequencer do you have this working with? Sonar? Cubase?

What other workarounds are there if my sequencer wont accept live midi input (that is, do I have to process each consonant of my vocals separately to achieve note changes?)

I recently tried the demo of the WavesTransform Bundle.. which has a NICE vocoder in there.... that could be played with my MIDIkeyboard.. man that was fun...

I use Tracktion and it was no prob at all to hook it all up.

I then looked at a cheap alternative - looked at AKAI's Vocoder - but that didn't sound as good as the Waves one by far....

but AKAI had another plug "pitchright" where you could play a MIDI note on your keyboard.. sing a random note and it would still be in tune.... that was cool....

Actually, hjack.. I read the specs and it says VST 2.0 compliant host needed to apply live midi input....just wondered what everyone was using to do this?

I'll check that too! I got Traktion when Mackie was giving it away for free but I've never tried it yet.

I wonder if someone out there would be willing to do a sennheiser (or similar) vocoder emulation now that it's easier.

All the digital vocoders this far have sounded, well, digital. Listen to "Herbie Hancock - I though It Was You" to find out what you're missing.
