My wife often wakes me up because I am humming in my sleep- but she never bothers to record it- must sound pretty bad.

I saw Chick Corea with Hot Tuna and Bobby and the Midnights...what a great show...I had the concert T-shirt for years for hot tuna (and it had the tour dates on the back). My grandmother from my mother's side (Nana) lived in the same town I grew up in so she was at our house everyday. She asked me "what the hell is Hot Tuna and what's all the dates about?" I told her it was the worlds largest sandwich and was taken around the country so everyone could have a peice...omalley wrote:Last night I had a dream I was at a Chick Corea concert, eccept he was playing tenor saxAnd he was on a balcony, with a full big band on the floor under him.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Richard James, aka Aphex Twin, claims to have written the majority of his Ambient Works v.2 in lucid dreams. According to legend, he slept in the studio, composed the music in his dream, and then woke up and tried to re-create what he had done. He is supposedly an expert in lucid dreaming (controlling your dreams), so this must have been a fun experiment...the results are certainly impressive!

I dream of music and yes they are always perfect.
Trying to pick up an instrument when you wake up doesn't work but humming into a tape recorder sometimes does.
I rarely managed to capture and recreate complete songs but on one or two occasions I did it and they are master pieces.
I think when you dream songs they come strait from the creative nerve center of the brain bypassing everything else but when you are awake things get filtered and altered on the way out.
