I suppose this questions fits into hosts...here goes:
I'd like to be able to set up a series of audio clips, typically 30-60 seconds in duration and trigger them to playback (sequentially, in order) based on hitting the pedal on a midi keyboard. So, I would hit the pedal triggering the first clip, sometime later I would hit it again, triggering the second clip and so on.
This is a live playing situation, triggering a series of passages for accompaniment. My concept is to trigger using the midi sustain pedal - my hands will be busy playing!
One other thing - I'll need to do some minor manipulation of pitch and time duration (stretching/compressing). I know Live and Cubase can do this without distorting audio, maybe several other packages can as well.
So, I'm looking for software that can handle both audio manipulation and set up a series of clips and to be triggered in sequence via midi pedal.
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

Well any decent sampler will work, most hosts will work well too, you might look at energy xt. (FL has time stretch though I have only experimented with it). the problem I have come across is latency. I too would like to use foot pedals while playing my ax. However I am of the opinion that the stability, latency, durability and ease of use that I would prefer would be better in a hardware sampler...bgatlanta wrote:I suppose this questions fits into hosts...here goes:

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
