Is it possible in FL Studio to record what you are playing with the computer keyboard like a real midi device? Maybe with a program like trollo or something? :?: :?:

There's a wee box on the top right with the other options - if you click on it it does the old typing keyboard to midi shite. Right click on it to select what octave you want.

I wish they'd change that. Maybe map the octaves to F keys or something. Ah well, maybe convince me to get a decent MIDI controller.

Like DT said there is a box with a picture of a qwerty keyboard next to it, light it and you're all set. Hopefully by the first of next week I will have all my FL screenshots (several hundred) online so I can post the pics here like I usually did on FL...

That little qwerty keyb to MIDI has been getting me out of bad situations. For example, I'm at work, and I get this awesome riff in my head. I start FLStudio, get a few chords down into the piano roll, save the FLP file into my USB key and take them home. Very very helpful indeed.

Here's a tutorial on the basics of using the QWERTY playback function... The tutorial is made using GPO, but it works the same for anything.
