I was replying to the question posed by bonteburg directly above me - hence i did not deem it essential to use a quote, just as I'm not in this answer ......

We are not goldfish
Well, I had an incredibly hard time reading that post so the FNM fanatic in me misunderstood the whole point and had to say something.

I haven't read this entire thread, so these may be repeats, but "now then now then how's about" .....

Abba - "Dancing Queen". Quintessential popness.

Frankie GTH - "Relax". Ground breaking in its day and still a damn fine production (of a not particularly great tune)

Undertones - "Teenage Kicks". Say no more.

Buzzcocks - "Ever Fallen In Love". I can't stop playing the steering wheel drum kit if I hear this when I'm driving.

Vapours - "Turning Japanese". If only because it shows you can have a great pop record about anything at all :x <---- nearest I could find to a "turning Japanese" kind of face :)

Nena - "99 Red Balloons". Because the truely perfect pop single is one which you can blame another country for :D

Regards,

Derek.

Almost all songs by James (even thought I'm not a fan)
Moby...almost all his (latest)tracks are alike so never mind the title.... :hihi:

Depeche Mode "Strange Love"
New Order "Blue Monday"
Smiths "Bigmouth Strikes Again"
BronskI Beat "Small Town Boy"
