Hi,
I jsut purchased FL Studio. I was wondering, how well does Tracktion take on the job of extensive Audio editing/recording, and a main sequencing host? We are talking about v1.

I am mostly a Steinberg user, and at times Pro Tools.

thank you.

Ill try the switch. My last experience with tracktion was a little dissapointing as I did not get my hands on a detailed manual. Available now ?

Don't think so! Never really felt I needed one tbh..

Try leaving the pop-up help on for a while, but choose the "use longer delay" option to stop it intruding till you need it..

If you get stuck, give us a shout on the RMS forum..

Not sure of the tone meant in your post, but I'll answer anyway.

The audio editing in Tracktion is great! It's not like having Wavelab or Soundforge. I personally use Bias Peak, but I can do most of what I want in Tracktion.

While T may not be for everyone, it has proven itself to so many people as an app that lets you get things done without getting in the way. It has major features for a not-so-major price. Even T2 is still underpriced IMO.

Productivity is key when recording and editing, and Tracktion brings more to the table in this area than any other host. Sure, not everyone will like it, but most people who give it a fair shot discover that they got more done in less time. It's not bloatware, like many apps are. And it's easier to use than the rest(again, IMO).

There are hundreds of reasons to use Tracktion. Too many people discount it because of it's price or appearance. Those who do so and don't even try it don't know at all what they are talking about. And if you've tried it and don't like it, that's fine too. It may not work for you. But you can't say that it's not a serious app. If so, then you didn't really get into it that much.

It depends on what you want for audio editing.

Tracktion does not edit at the sample level, but rather at the tick level which is some number of samples. I don't know how many samples in a tick.

Tick meaning ? As you can only edit within the grid, say a 64th ? I think i could edit freely...
