Why bother setting up a server? The most intellegent thing would be to set up or use an existing bittorrent tracker for the file, and then make the thread a sticky to ensure seeders. Bittorrent is perfectly suited to large files like this, and it would solve most (if not all) bandwidth problems.

That must be one massive telly, pljonespljones wrote:My wife suggested we stop renting the telly and rent a dedicated server instead. 500Gb/mo. She also suggested a limited number of single-use passwords to get the file... Easier to code, certainly. (And allows adding on a "buy the bandwidth" option...)
I think if you find it useful after download – be sure to leave a comment for the creator of the grand too. Thanks ackelitoAckelito wrote:This sounds very interesting, im looking forward to itThanks guys, you are great!
I must admit I am looking forward to playing this myself, not had the chance to till koolkeys made it available. It will be a big bandwidth user, and I will need to keep an eye on it to make sure it does not get remote linked somewhere – that would cause a problem I would think. Thanks for the bowSascha Franck wrote:From what I remember, Mats has even been asking for a server to mirror the file(s) for quite a while, but nobody seemed to be able to at that moment.
Of course it's pretty much likely that such a patch would dramatically increase the used bandwith of any server
I allready have this piano (haven't played with it too much, seems to be really nice though), but let's all bow to Spe3d for this generous offer.
Lolicon, refer to the previous page, this has been answered alreadylolicon wrote:Why bother setting up a server? I Will wait to hear from koolkeys that the file is uploaded, set it up, n then leave it to him to announce it.
Cheers all.
Best regards,
Peter

Sorry about the delay. I was uploading the file, and got to where I was almost completely finished, and my Netgear wireless interface card froze my computer. I'm so pissed. I've had nothing but problems with this card.
So I'm re-uploading right now as we speak on my Mac iBook. It will finish soon, and I will post a new post here to let you know it's available, and post on Audioshots, both when Spe3d lets me know I can.
Thanks for waiting guys. And thanks Spe3d for doing this. So many people have been asking me for this, since it's well known that I have it, but there hasn't been a way to get it out.
I'll post back soon.

It's a different piano soundfont by the same creator as the Giga file koolkeys is uploading. The Giga file is much larger.ZioKiller wrote:Don't know if it's the same file you're talking about, but I just found this:

That is correct. This is the smaller of the two pianos that Matt had on his site. It's good to have both, as they are different pianos, and both sound good.

It's on the server now - I took a break - but now setting it up. I will then notify koolkeys - and he will then notify you.

There is no license file in the archive that was uploaded – I am just getting KoolKeys to send me more details and to make a post reflecting the distribution copyrights at the auditorium. until that happens I can not have it distrabuted via the auditorium.
If anyone has an upto date email for matt – please PM me with it so I can send him an email.
Thank you

Peter

That's the author of the post - not matt imo. And its for a soundfont - not the the gigafont which is in question atm.ZioKiller wrote:the info box in the soundfont I downloaded from sf2midi says:

I am sure KoolKeys will have the info - just waiting for him to send it to me - he did state the lic clearly states distribution as long as all the files are together - only there is one file in the rar - so I need to see the lic that he has read. I would have thought it would be in the rar too. It has to be somewhere.

Peter
