Oh...by the way...I used the song "blockhead" to get my reference from....check out the toms with that!

If your able to compress these samples...i`ll bet they`ll sound even closer!

Oh well...the "ride cntr"and the "ride bell"are both "ride bell".

Sure intel...glad to see them go to use!

I had fun doing them.Been playing along with the duty now lp with these and i`m pretty happy with them!

The toms are not perfect...a bit too loud...but nothing some compression can`t fix.

I desided to redo the toms...I can hear them real well on "smart patrol/mr.DNA".

Also will make them all mono and re-post them here tomorrow.

Here are the final samples w/battery kit file.
Zip will open as a folder.

All samples are in mono except a few that I desided to keep stereo.(crashes)

All cymbals are louder then drm hits.
Reduce vol as needed on them.

Toms are very dead...some songs are like that...and others are more tonal.
Desided to keep them dead.Think an effect on them can more easily make them more reverberent then doing it the other way `round.

They`re all fairly close to Alan`s sound...a little fussing with them will get you there!

PS: By the way,these drms are pretty close to Beefhearts sound too! Let make more music like that now!!!

Hi Bake!

Just finished playing along with the duty now lp...about 3 times through!!

Was having a freaking blast!
Had the samples mapped in Battery,and was using my midiman oxygen8 keyboard to trigger them.
I mapped them to certain keys that seems to be best for playing rock/devo...so forth.

Your going to have some fun when you get home!!

Hey there guys!

Thought you`d gotten them by this time.

Here`s the kit;

-Create a folder called devo kit...unzip sample folder and unrar .kt2 file within that folder.
-the .kt2 kit file has all the sample modifications...like vol and/key mapping/and snare pitch.
You can do all this on your own,but with battery and any sampler that takes a .kt2 kit file will work as well.

If you have the devo song"The day my baby gave me a suprize",play the kit to that song for lots of fun!
