Like this all presets of a fxb file can take up several GB of your hard disc...

Better would be a patch selector ala minihost bankmanager.
So you only dump what you need. ;)

@CCT

Maybe I tell you nothing new but I couldn´t get any samples with reaktor 4 from native instruments and my soundcard setting was not saved properly. I must set it manually everytime I start v-dumper. Sometimes v-dumper freezes and I had to remove it with the task manager. I couldn´t feature out what causes this bug.

But I have to say too that v-dumper is still now one of my favourite vst tools. ;-) That was a great idea to make such a tool. Do you have already considered to code a batch routine for sampling a complete bank?

CCT, the wait is getting long....

Yeah, it would be too bad if this program went down the drain ... so many good ideas wasted ...

hey, what's going on? :D

any news on external synth recording?

Hmm i am thinking about divide this app into two tools,
one for sampling and one for live playing. Because i think there will be problem in preset playlist editor, when more than one instrument will be used... Or maybe create something like preset bags ? I think it will be too complicated to edit...

Now i am rewriting code used for dumping, because i have one function for vsti's and one for externals... i want to have only one and simpler and better :)

Hi CCT, I am happy you are back ! :)
"one for sampling and one for live playing"... ?
Hm, I never looked at Dumper like a 'Player',
the play function was more like to check the sound before sampling.
"there will be problem in preset playlist editor",
I dont really see that, it depends how you see Dumper.
For multi VST stacks you mean ?
Maybe I just missunderstand... Please explain ! :)

I need a DELAY knob. I want to layer two percussive sounds but need to delay one so the attacks are at the same time ...

I think that the VST stacks dont need any playlist editor, a save SETUP is fine. ;)

The stack gets Dumped, then loaded into a sf2 player
like sfz.
Nobody wants to waste that much CPU playing 4 VSTi+FX
or even more in realtime.

Save/Load Setup is really enough. :)

But when someone want to dump all presets, and there will be loaded e.g. 4 VSTi's ? Dump all combinations of them ? :)

To dump ALL presets of ONE VSTi makes sense,
if you can select the presets you want/need.
Simply dumping all is quite useless.

to build just ONE great combination takes a lot of time !
Dumping without that time spend, does not make ANY sense.
CTT, just please dont do such a useless thing. ;)

Better build a patch browser/selector to dump all selected patches of ONE VSTi, that IS usefull ! :)
