Ok, so I'm thinking about buying an SP-303, does anyone on this board use one? My main concern is, truncating samples on my FZ-1 is way too painstaking and time consuming, I always end up going back to Recycle for quick, easy slicing of a drum loop. Now I've heard about some auto-chop feature on the 303..so I ask, is this similar to using Recycle for the PC? [I.E. i load up a drum loop, place all the slices, in one shot, and export all the slices to the pads.] Is this possible? If not, is there any piece of similar gear (similar price as well) that can accomplish this? I would really only being buying the piece for use of the Midi Sequencer and the sample editing as I just described, anything else is extra.

:help:

Thanks in advance

Did nobody tell you? The Boss SP-303 is in fact a computer, but much smaller ;-)

Edit: When chopping a sample on the PC you have visual control of where you actually chop it. A pc can show you where the hits are. On a 3-digit LED readout that is very hard, if not impossible.

Well, with the mouse + keyboard editing samples IS a breeze compared to hardware samplers. Maybe you need both...
