I've looked around for something that converts soundfonts to wave files, but I haven't found any free software.
Anyone know of such a program?

Why? Soundfonts are easy to handle and include more information than just the raw audio data. Unless you convert that, too, to some other format, you're losing important stuff.
Okay... lecture over. Quick and easy: sfZed by Steve Holt. It exports to sfz format but you get full quality WAV files and it's free (PC only). And you get a text file describing how to play the WAVs.
Quick and not so easy is SF2COMP. You get one WAV file per sample (and that's usually two WAV files per voice as SF2 files contain left and right channel samples separately). You also get a text file describing how to play the WAVs.
Dirty, but still free, is the Extreme Sample Converter demo. Sample resolution is dropped to 8bit but it will convert to many formats. Or buy it and get full resolution.
Lots of other pay for options exist. Search the forum.

I know soundfonts are easier to handle, but I don't have anything that plays them. I've tried sfz, but it's proved to be unstable on my machine, and the program is limited at best (no effects if I remember correctly).
If I could convert my soundfonts to wave files, I could import them into SampleTank 2, which is my main workhorse. It has a lot of great effects that would make my soundfonts sound a lot better.
