VST amp cabinets

I noticed that puting SIR with some cabinets' IRs after JCM900 I can obtain some nice results. The problem is that SIR is not for real time playing so here's my question: Are there any amp cabinet simulations in VST format for real time playing (free would be a bonus)?

Abilities in Trash from Izotope is quite extensive:
www.izotope.com
Download trial.
I like it a lot. A pretty good toolbox for experimenting with ampsimulations.

Try the following alternatives to SIR, Zeoy:
ConvoBoy 1.03 has a lower latency than SIR
RevolverbLite even claims to work at zero latency!

Since you said you had good results with SIR, I thought I suggested some alternatives that do not suffer from the latency.
(edit: Revolverb is higly recommended, saw that also in the Bass Amp sim thread)
Most cabinet sims I've seen are plain & simple EQ's, just like what convultion on a very short impulse results in.

... your suggestions were spot on. I asked for non IR based to compare the results. Now, if I could download the Revolver ...C00kie wrote:Since you said you had good results with SIR, I thought I suggested some alternatives that do not suffer from the latency.

Amplitube is great. Trash is good too, but it's very CPU intensive.
...but maybe they're both a bit expensive for just cabinet modelling. Fortunately, they model the rest of the amp too.
Seriously though, Amplitube is a great ampsim. I use it myself, and plenty of other people here use it. Maybe check out Amplitube LE if you're on a budget. It's got three modelled cabinets (and other stuff too), and you get a good upgrade price to move to the full Amplitube, if you want to get more options and more flexibility.
Forever,
Kim.

Thanx for the info Jeez. I will maybe put my hands on Amplitube LE when T2 comes out (if the deal between Mackie and IK still holds). ATM I am satisfied with GuitarSuite (esp. JCM900) just thinking that something is missing from this plugin in the cab sim area

I found this link for the revolver http://ime.nu/noisevault.com/plugs/RevolVerb_L.zip which works (lots of asian chicks around this page though

Would someone be kind enough to post some links to good cabinet IRs? I could do well with postprocessing, as I don't play the guitar.

I have downloaded almost 6 MB of cab IRs, but I don't remember any link. However I can send them to your e-mail if you are interrested (if so, PM me).
