I have a concert hall, and I'd like to measure the reverb time (its freaking long!). How do I do it and come up with a meaningful answer? Click your fingers loudly and it goes on for about 5 seconds, but presumably to measure the time, you have to start with a sound of a particular volume level.

One definition of reverb time uses the time it takes for the reverb signal level to drop below -60dB.

RT60 - as Cookie mentioned. It's the most standardised way of measuring reverb time...I presume it needs to start at 0dBFS or summat? So you'd load it into your host or editor or whatever and measure how long it took to decay from 0 to -60.
