Manc, I think 'all other fx devs could cease to exist' is a little against the logic of the market. As you may have noticed, every single developer offers some distinctive approach to sound, and so this becomes a question of taste. Nobody is able to fullfil everyone's requirement (not Voxengo, not UAD, not Waves, not anybody else). If we pretend we had only UAD plug-ins, after some time a competitor will surely appear only because UAD owners think they do not have enough variations - it all sounds extremely good and polished, but it always turns this way - and that's where the main problem lies. Do you know why USSR has fallen? The main reason is because people do not generally like to be equal to each other. The same applies to sound and workflow.

What stopped me from adding functionality I implemented in Vintage Modulator to AF Chorus is the fact that I do not want to add latency to Chorus plug-in and to decrease its CPU peformance. I.e. these plug-ins were at least technically different - even the core processing functions are different for AF Chorus and Vintage Modulator. I'm sorry for the confusion (and for being a little more $$$ minded in this case).
yes, I understand your point - but wouldn't it be nice then to offer a special 'crossgrade' deal to AF-customers? (not that 21,95$ was a lot of money but it's definetely more than I'm willing to pay for one extra feature)

Agreed, totally, just offering a doff of the cap for all your hard work.

That's a nice reverb but I was hoping for one based on similar coding used for HarmoniEQ. I love the sound I get from this EQ when I send anything thru it.

Aleksey, I'd like to report a denormal bug with the Analog Suite Chorus plugin ( maybe other plugins also got that bug but thats the only one I tested )
I tried to apply it on a track today, CPU usage was 20% less when I played the VSTi which was connected to the chorus comparing to when the VSTi wasn't played.

I like old skool, but I seem to hear some noise when using it...I'm about a minute away from buying the modulator... :D
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

If you don't have already AF and if you aren't planning to buy it you should buy it - the sound is fantastic :-D

Scripter, thanks for the bug report - I'll check this out.

Quite a precise emulation then, comes with vintage noise included. Excellent! Not ??

Aleksey Vaneev wrote:Peter, I've delayed a more wide announcement because on the last minute a nasty bug has been discovered. Seems like it does not happened on your setup, but others have experienced it. I'm working on a fix and will release it ASAP.
Thanks Aleksey. It works already fine for me (Wavelab and SX2).
You said there is not much difference between AFchorus and VintageModulator. To me it sounds quite different (maybe because of the "Through time zero" function). This plug sound to me like if a subtle amount of chorus, flanger and phaser is mixed together. BTW, sounds great on vocal and acoustic guitar in my project.
