Hi all,
I'm working on a jazzy track and looking for a good (free  ) upright/double bass. I'm actually using plugsound free which is not bad but somehow lack of depth...
(Any suggestion, preferably in sf2 format)

I was gonna suggest the 'plugsound' but u already use it....
Im a bassplayer myself but havent found any better than the plugsound-bass. Maybe some compression/equalizing might help.

Another vote for the echochamber bass. It's really nice for a freebie.
Format is EXS 24, but Awave/CDxtract or whatever should convert it to SF2 fine, maybe even the VSampler demo will work.

Alternatively you may just want to map the samples by yourself in your sampler of choice.

The double bass zip's include the wave files(44khz), and there are 8 zips's to download.

I'm sure he'll have no problems with that (he's a nice dude). But of course you should wait for his reply.

Btw, there's a few other patches on the echochamber site that are defenitely worth getting too.

is the double bass the same as an upright acustic bass?

and are all 8 zips necessary for the patch?

Post

btw, EVM bassline has an acustic bass that's very nice.

Yes, they have samples for each key in each folder.

In the old days, we had this slow form of Internet connection called "dial-up" which was sometimes unreliable due to "line noise". It was also before the invention of "resume download"... :hihi:
