...to make some nice Reason NN-XT sample-packs/refills.
So i was wondering what i need for this? Reason of course. Is there a way to get it cheaper than its original price? something like a adapted version or something? can this be used to create refills?
questions over questions :D

I have Reason adapted. I got it with my Audiophile. I'm quite sure you can create Refills with it. The content of Reason Adapted varies with the product (Digidesign, M-audio) you got it with.

Okay, thanks. So this means it comes only bundled with e.g. soundcards? is it possible to get reason adapted without any other stuff?

I think the best thing to do is to buy Reason 2.5 now at a reduced price, then pay the difference in price (which should be US$130 or equivalent in euros for the upgrade to 3.0. You can do what you want using 2.5. When you register, you can download the Refill packer from the Props website. (Or is it on the CD? I forget. Anyway, you get the Refill packer with.)

But don't take my word for it -- you should check prices. I've read in several forums that dealers are charging $130 less for 2.5 than the full 3.0 price, making 2.5 + update cost the same as waiting for 3.0. But I haven't looked at prices to see what dealers are really charging.

Best of luck with it,

Meffy

Really? I'm surprised. I thought it couldn't even load refills. Maybe I'm thinking of the demo... Anyway, if it will do that, great! But still please buy Reason. ;-)

if the adapted version comes with the nn19 or xt then you can make a refill. mapping samples and layering zones is easy on both samplers. but save your money for 2.5 and get the upgrade for free. im sure that the prices for v2.5 in germany has come down. once you get your copy, download the refill packer at the props site. it's free. then email porps if they could host it for you. im sure it will be no problem to them.

what kind of refill are you trying to make anyway?

cheers!
