FL Studio 5 stability with vsti and dxi

In FL Studio, if I have both a dxi and vsti of the same plugin, dxi version seems more stable on my system.

Example:

* Arturia Moog Modular V2 vsti was crashing FL Studio, so I fired up the dxi version and it was extremely stable.

* When playing keyboard via qwerty, if I click the interface in several of my vsti's(Absynth3 for one), the keyboard will not respond until I minimize and maximize it. This does not occur if I have a DXI version of the same plugin but I usually use a midi keyboard so this is no problem :).

Does anyone have a preference of VSTI or DXI plugins in FL Studio, or are they both equally stable on your system setup?

All comments appreciated.

I never use the DXi versions of any plugin I own unless it only comes as a DXi. I have no trouble with VST stability in FL Studio. In fact that's one of the reasons why I switched. :)

always use the VSTs here in FL, no prob...

Same same, except that if anything I've observed the *opposite* problem ie DXi versions are less stable than VSTi. Still pretty darn stable and robust host for all that...

I'm going to do a clean install of Fl Studio to hopefully resolve the stability issues.

Thanks for the replies.

I also find VSTi more stable than DXi (VST/VSTi can also send/recive MIDI, DXi cannot)
The keyboard issue is probally related to the fact that plugins also can monitor your keyboard.. Therefore FLS disable the keyboard monitoring when you have the plugin "in focus"... see? ;)

I do vsts all the way. Not a fan of DXi. I don't know why the Dxi is more stable on your thing
