I wish I could go to some of the gigs over in Europe, but for now I'm broke.

Not a bad idea, I support getting a periodic US meet going, assuming there isn't already one that I don't know about. I'm non-committal about the location at this point, I think that should wait until it gels a little more.

Thats not far from Canada ..heh
and Vegas always has great rates for airfare etc from here.

I could be in ... we will have to see closer to the date.

I can't see anything better than VEGAS for this

It is in the middle of the country, cheap to fly to as well. Lot's of fun..... and brothels for all of us computer nerds

If people are really interested I'll try to get something going.

I just told the wife ,,, she's in!!

Lets start by sorting a time frame.

1st lets set a proposed date and then we make sure Las Vegas does not have the rodeo goin' at same time ..hehe (else I am not goin near the place)

I would say we need at least a few months lead time for this maybe even more.

Buy yeah ,... set a date and we can start from there.
Maybe someone from Vegas can recommend a place where we could get a meeting / drinking Room / music Jam area etc or other ideas. I do think a Small little Jam / Party area would be great if we can sort something like that for a bit of the gathering!
Of course i know we get better deals from here usually on packages with hotel and flight included... but we can try to set up something for a common Spot to stay too i guess.

Anyways
I will consider this as the wife and i go to Vegas regularly for a good time and a quick getaway.

Vegas sounds great.

The trick here is to find days when things are slow in Vegas and there are no major conventions going on.
This way everything is dirt cheap. (hotel,flights and so on)
