Ok, you don't have CuBase... neither have I 
But which host DO you use?
95% of them can record program changes and controller info like pitch bend, modulation wheel, sustain pedal, etc. Maybe it is as easy as start recording and do a program change on the midi keyboard.

yes your right. Didnt see that option..Just did get my hands on a Synt I only can change params that way
