Hi,

I know your thinking, back so soon? Well a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do when the older brother owns all the gear and time is limited. My eldest brother donated his music programs to us lowly siblings, but the trouble is that he didn't bother to take care of the software so we have battery and kontakt with no manual or presets for some reason. I have a sound font cd with 6 gigs of samples in sf2 format and I'm trying to figure out how to get them into battery (drum sounds) and Kontakt (other samples) but I can't seem to get it. If the sf2 format doesn't work, can I use a disc of wav samples in these two programs. I was able to drag and drop a couple of percussion samples into cells in Battery and have them make noise, but then I couldn't get it to work. I don't know if it's because my brother is ancient and the programs he has are old and incompatible with outside samples. Either way, I need help import samples into both samplers. I'd like to do entire banks of sounds like the built in presets that I'm missing. Both programs appear to be fully functional, but have no sounds. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, as I don't know when the next older brother is going to be reconfiscating his equipment. Also, once I get samples into Battery, do I sequence the drums in the piano roll of my HSXL or can you sequence in Battery? I keep reading how easy this program is, but I'm on the blond side and with no manual, I'm cooked. Please Help.
