Sorry if this has been covered before, but is there any way of getting pdc in FL Studio so impulse reverb effects work correctly? Thanks.

You can manually delay all the other tracks so that they have the same delay as the IR.

This is tedious, but it works.

Voxengo Sample Delay will allow you to specify the delay in samples.

Thanks all. Will check out the Voxengo plug, as you say it's tedious but no other way right now. I guess this must be somewhere on gol's list... if he has a list (I certainly won't suggest it as I'll no doubt be told to sod off!).

ok, next dumb question... if I'm achieving 92.88ms latency on Convo Boy, what delay in samples do I need in voxengo's plug? Is there an easy way of calculating one from the other?

Word on the street is, there are no plans to add PDC to FL Studio. If you're lookin for a cheap host with PDC, I hear Tracktion has it. Or you could shell out the cash for some Cubase SX.

At 44.1kHz sample rate, you have 44.1 samples per millisecond (thousandth of a second). At 96kHz, you have 96 samples per. I'll leave you to do the math from there.

he'll change his mind eventually... especially since alot of the good stuff coming out recently (IR reverbs, voxengo analog flux, blablabla) is in need of it.

exactly, it's become a real necessity imho, even if it's the new trend-right after track freezing-. The thing is that there are work-arounds recquiring nothing but a few clicks to achieve track freezing, but having to cope with plugins' delays, especially if you're using several plugs with delay, is a real pain.

I think the problem is that FL Studio has been built in such a way that makes implementing PDC a massive task. Almost a complete re-write of core architecture. At least I read that somewhere on the FL forums. (or maybe I just dreamt that, along with the one about a tomato-powered tractor ...)

Anyway, if including PDC meant a massive re-write, I don't think you'd be able to complain if the Free-Update clause was revoked for that particular upgrade.

I beg to differ :P

I believe I would still very much be able to complain. Especially as I don't particularly need PDC...

Me neither. :P

It's just that if people on mass start wanting it, it's probably gonna cost.
