Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC I think The Doors used a Farfisa.

Not according to http://www.combo-organ.com/discography.htm - Animals used Vox Continental, Doors used Vox Continental, and Gibson G-101 later.

Have you used any of there samples?

I just ordered the CD. I sent him an email inquiring about the Vox samples. He said they will be ready May-June.

i used to have a farfisa my dad gave me but i sold it to daddys junky music. you peeps said it wasnt worth much so i didnt ask much. but i also had a hendrix univibe you peeps said that might be worth something so i sold them all for 600 usd. i know after i sold the univibe the guy at daddys was selling the pedal for 1200! did i get ripped off? or was he just making a profit?

I have a Farfisa combo compact single manual organ cached in Utah. I paid $120 for it back in 1983. I also have a Clavinet E7(the black tolex one) sitting right next to it. I paid $75 for that at the pawnshop.

yeah but the organ that i bought was a double tier model. i got $600 for it. obviously, the most valuable thing i sold to daddy's was the univibe. i dont't think i got a fair deal then by the way your describing it.

yeah any time you have vintage equipment, you should check ebay, prepal, google, vintage synth explorer, and just about any site you can find with info about the item.

I have had several pieces of vintage gear, and when I tried to sell them to a shop I would get a standard line "Ahh these are nice, but the market for them is dwindling, you should sell now for less than its worth to me, because you will take a big hit soon."

so you shouldnt listen to someone who wants to get away with paying you as little as possible.

In the beginning, they used a Vox Continental. They used other organs at different times. I think Ray even used a Hammond on a few things?

These Vox samples seem cleaner than my actual Vox does. There is one real problem with some of these samples. When I imported them into SFZ for auditioning, I got noticeable clicks on the loop points. If the samples are long enough, this could probably be edited out, but I haven't actually tried it. I have my own Vox samples to play with, as well as having a real Vox.
