Many thanks Urs.Urs wrote: Just make sure you have Zebra2.data in the same directory as Zebra2.dll, Zebrify.dll etc.
As svenx pointed out, in some cases there'll be another data directory inside, like Zebra2.data/data/data - you can just delete that once your sure that everything works. Maybe .zip it or make a back up, just in case.
Hope this helps,
Urs
The data was not organized in subfolders after installation, they were keept in their original folders. (I choosed the option: "keep previous installation and copy files"). I did a backup and moved everything to the same directory as Zebra2.dll. That did not work. I altso tried the link trick to the old folder in C:\programfiles that did not solve it either. I altso tried to remove all files from C:\programfiles so everything was in the VST directory only. Then Zebra opened as a blank screen.
Some strange stuff here
No error messages, 3.2.1 opens fine with the new HS banks after I moved the backup files to the C:\programfiles directory. Maybe I should try the pre installed version. There should not be any duplicated dll's right?
Will have a deeper look at it later
Cheers

Normally you don't need to move anything. The installer does.
Once you got that working, drag Zebra2.data wherever you want and create a shortcut for it that you put back into Vstplugins.
Yes, that's a good idea. Just put the .dlls and Zebra2.data (with all of its contents) into Vstplugins, and then you can manually move things from C:\Program Files\ to the corresponding places in Zebra2.data (the layout is slightly different, but it should be easy to see what goes where).replicator wrote:Maybe I should try the pre installed version.

Beautiful Urs, solved. There was one path in the VST directory that was wrong. Just moved the files and everything works
Have a nice holiday!

Stunning release
Impressive patch work by Howard. All the new stuff will keep me busy for a long time. Just one small thing, Zebra could not find the microtunal files.

Hello urs,
I just downloaded the 2.5 update (Windows XP) and am getting the following error message upon attempting to open zebrify:
file couldn't be opened C:\Program Files\u-he\Zebra2\Data\Scripts\Zebrify.txt - 1
-------
I cannot locate a Zebrify.txt file in that specified folder nor anywhere else on the drive.
Zebra 2.5, Zebralette and ZRev all load up and work fine.
Any tips?
edit - nevermind... copied in the data folder... all good.

Love all the new features but I'm particularly impressed with Howard's work on the new patches. Great stuff even by his standards.

Absolutely!kuniklo wrote:Love all the new features but I'm particularly impressed with Howard's work on the new patches. Great stuff even by his standards.
Howard has of course got a comfortable head start because he did hundreds of sounds for Mr. Zimmer and there's also a "Scratchpad" with 300 or more raw diamonds. I think the new set is a selection from that scratchpad, polished for Zebra 2.5 if possible. Time was short though, there would certainly have been more if I hadn't asked him to do presets and translations for ACE.
Rumours have it that he'll do some more film work soon.

Has anyone mentioned this yet. If you mark the first patch in a folder as junk, it still shows up when you hide the junk.
Merry Christmas everyone.

It's a feature not a bug - the first preset is never junk, never!!

actually the first ACE I tried had an even more bizarre bug.
Any preset you choose from the factory bank and made it junk the next time you opened ACE it was marked as a favourite....honestly
I told Urs clearly it was a conspiracy
