That all sounds quite suspicious to me. Like they've been hacked and want everyone to change passwords but, rather than admit it, they are doing a promo instead.Numanoid wrote:To showcase revamped website SampleLogic offers 30% off storewide with code: SHOP30
In order to be eligible you need to have an account there from earlier, as this rebate is an incentive for users to reset their password:
-Reset password page: https://samplelogic.com/my-account/lost-password/
-Check e-mail for a link to reset password
-Get a special discount 30% off

Although that could be the case, it's just as likely they've moved to a different website engine and database and, because they hashed the passwords in the old system for security (so they can't be readily decoded if hacked), they can't simply copy them over and generate new hashes for them automatically. Having users create new passwords is the only realistic way forward in that situation.mutantdog wrote: That all sounds quite suspicious to me. From the email:
"you must re-sync your Sample Logic customer account to our new site by reseting your current Sample Logic account password"
Reseting? Really? Most hackers flunked their grammar classes.

While we're talking about Sample Logic, does anyone know if their products are re-sellable?

That's probably the more likely explanation, to be fair.Gamma-UT wrote:Although that could be the case, it's just as likely they've moved to a different website engine and database and, because they hashed the passwords in the old system for security (so they can't be readily decoded if hacked), they can't simply copy them over and generate new hashes for them automatically. Hi Luca,Project wrote:Also, since I've got Cubase Pro, is melodyne essential really superior to the variaudio feature included in Cubase?
If it's integrated into Cubase as well as it is into Studio One, I personally think it's superior. I liked Variaudio a lot when it first came out, particularly because Melodyne didn't integrate very well back then, but the current version of Melodyne works better for me than Variaudio ever did.
With that said, I stopped using Cubase right after 7 came out so the current Variaudio may be better than I'm aware of.
